Join us for an exclusive evening with Skier Sage Cattabriga-Alosa
Friends of the Inyo is proud to present an exclusive virtual event featuring special guest Sage Cattabriga-Alosa. Sage is a world-renowned freeskier, mountain biker, and now, filmmaker. Join us as he takes us through a curated set of video clips featuring some of his gnarliest descents and most daring adventures. We’ll have a conversation about how he finds balance in his life and why he cares about the protection and health of our public lands. Then you’ll have the opportunity to ask him your own questions in a Q&A session. If you aren’t stoked for winter yet, you will be after this!
About Sage Cattabriga-Alosa:
A professional skier for nearly 20 years, Sage has been a staple of big mountain skiing in over 25 films. Beyond being an athlete, film production and content creation have become a creative outlet, allowing him to showcase skiing and mountain biking through his films “Elemental” and “Balance.” Learn more about Sage at thenorthface.com

Event Hosts
Kyle Hamada, FOI Communications Director
Born in Los Angeles, Kyle grew up visiting the Eastern Sierra to fish, snowboard, and hike. He studied Environmental Geography and Environmental Science and Policy at Cal State University Long Beach and interned with the BLM’s Ridgecrest and Barstow field offices surveying wilderness areas. With years of experience as a producer in the advertising industry and as a freelance photographer and videographer, Kyle aims to create strong and effective messaging to further the organization’s positive impact.
Sydney Quinn, FOI Board Member
Sydney Quinn migrated from the desert of Phoenix, AZ to the San Francisco Peaks of Flagstaff at the age of 17. Moving to Mammoth in 1970 and an 18-year career of ski teaching began a lifestyle and reverence for the mountains through years of backcountry exploration in winter and summer. “Andrea Lawrence, one of my beloved mentors, was the impetus for my involvement in environmental activism beginning in the ’70s. After 17 years at Mono County Mental Health as a psychotherapist, she retired and settled near Big Pine with her husband, Dennis, a magic dog, two crazy cats and a flock of chickens.
Wendy Schneider, FOI Executive Director
Wendy grew up in East Tennessee, engaged in organizing, fundraising and lobbying in Washington DC, then studied and practiced law in Los Angeles before relocating to the Eastern Sierra and discovering Friends of the Inyo. As Executive Director of Friends of the Inyo, Wendy uses her political, fundraising and legal expertise to continue increasing the organization’s ability to protect the Eastern Sierra’s public lands.
